Doctor Who - Genius and Plush

For *niccals's Doctor Who Plushie Contest. We're allowed a maximum of 2 entries and I was going to do a second one with a less obscure pairing, but I ran out of time. Oh well. I really like how this one turned out anyway. Besides, there is a STAGGERING lack of Classic plush in the contest entries so far, aside from a few previous Doctors.

This is my first time drawing the lovely miss Nyssa of Traken, seen here with a small plushie of her fellow alien teen genius scientist TARDIS-mate Adric (I marvel at John Nathan-Turner for being able to put two characters of such a specific type as companions at the same time). I like to think that these two had some chemistry (no pun intended) after seeing them dancing together in Black Orchid. Then I listened to Big Finish's "The Boy That Time Forgot" and...

Adric: "I always thought...that you and I had much in common. We were both orphans, so young and so dependent on the Doctor. You...loved me then."
Nyssa: "The old Adric, yes! The awkward, frustrated, pig-headed boy!"
Adric: "I'm so lonely, Nyssa! My creatures here can give me almost everything and...and they try their best, but they don't really love me!"

I love the Whoniverse. I really really do.

Sarah Sutton and Matthew Waterhouse (and ALL of the original Team Fivey, actually) are going to be at the next Gallifrey One which, of course, I can't go to for being-on-the-other-side-of-the-country reasons. This makes me sad. I want to meet Team Fivey
